Kodi stutter.

Hi. Lately I updated from SPMC to Kodi latest due to dependencies that allegedly SPMC couldn't provide, addons failing to access and so on. But when I'm watching games with acestream engine the video has micro stutters. I have disabled the amlogic codec and the others. Having only 20% hq scaling.. will that be the fix? I read something about setting up the hq to 100%, and other thing.. I'm using a 4k hdr TV and SPMC had support for the native resolution although I don't see Kodi with more than just 1080p... Does any of you know why some addons don't work in spmc 16 but they work on 17?

LibreElec should be a good solution too.
    Try it, no more stutters.

Hi dude. Tks. Worked really well.. killed the buffer with 4k videos.. although I'm experiencing some freeze between menus... SD card related?

Getting freezing / stuttering playback, lots of buffering. I'm using SPMC 17.6 Alpha 2 and Terrarium. Unit is U9-H and it has actually gotten worse since the 008 firmware update.

Its almost certainly the stream source rather than the minix

That's definitely possible, but using the same streams I used to get freezing / stuttering during playback about 20 - 25% of the time, and now more like 90%. This makes me want to try to rule out an issue with the unit, then that would give me a starting point. Are there tools I can access for this?

play a video that you have stored locally, if that doesnt buffer then its almost certainly the stream source

I switched from a WiFi connection to an Ethernet cable and my playback improved greatly.

that is to be expected of course (y)
    and unrelated to firmware upgrade

Yes, my playback does in fact seem to be better with the 008 firmware.
